wellplayd addresses the issue that most of the approximately 90,000 sports clubs in Germany have many manual and therefore time-consuming processes. wellplayd ensures that good governance efforts in organized sports are implementable and transparent even where they were not previously. I had the opportunity to evaluate seven outstanding young startups as a jury member for the first time at the StarS-Kader pitch event at the German Sport University. To be honest, wellplayd was not my favorite based on the brief description provided in advance. However, wellplayd became more convincing with each round. The pitch was simply good, the product was explained to me in detail, and our questions were answered in such a way that the potential became clear. I was very happy to present this great startup with the well-deserved first prize that evening.
