As a jury member at the StarS-Kader pitch event at the German Sport University, I had the opportunity to evaluate seven young startups. wellplayd wasn’t my favorite at first, but it won me over round after round. The strong pitch and the answers to our follow-up questions clearly demonstrated its great potential. I was very pleased to present this fantastic startup with first prize.

To ensure integrity in the sports system, we need clear and secure structures—from the governing body down to the local club. wellplayd offers a compelling solution by combining scientific insights, practical experience, and technical innovation to strengthen sports in a sustainable way.
Safe Sport consists of three mutually reinforcing components. Only together do they ensure responsibility in sports.

Physical and organizational frameworks that make protection possible in the first place: rules, processes, and clear responsibilities.

Protection against violence, discrimination, and abuse of power in all sporting contexts, whether between coaches and athletes, within a team, or within a club.

Continuous development toward greater fairness, inclusion, and integrity for everyone who participates in sport.

Germany’s sports clubs have more memberships than ever before since records began in 1954. At the same time, more than one in six clubs sees its very existence threatened because it can no longer find and retain enough volunteers. This imbalance is compounded by growing legal requirements—and these are not optional.
wellplayd bridges the gap between concept and everyday life—so that volunteers can focus on what matters most.
